A lovely paper with just the right amount of tooth. I tested it with many of my fountain pens and find it comparable to the old Tomoe River paper in terms of sheening and shading, with the slightly rougher feel of the new Tomoe River paper. This doesn't bother me at all, since I prefer papers such as Midori over the glassy smooth Rhodia and Clairefontaine papers.

My only complaint with this paper is that I have noticed that all of my nibs appear wider on this paper. The ink seems to spread out on the page; it doesn't feather, since the lines are still crisp, but my extra-fine and needlepoint nibs are noticeably wider on this paper. Wetter nibs are wider by as much as one full nib size, while my drier nibs write about half a nib size larger. The feel of this paper and how it shows off my ink qualities would make this a new favorite if not for this singular issue. Since I tend to write small, I find myself sticking to extra-fine nibs to keep my writing legible.

Holy ink colors, Batman!! Just get this paper! Inks will look dull on other paper by comparison. They pop on this paper. Wish I'd gotten it sooner! Otherwise, it's like all FP-friendly paper - some inks will take a while to dry. It shows shading and sheen well - though I'm more interested in shading than sheen, so I didn't dig into how it compares to other papers as far as sheen. I'm mostly a fine nib user, so I have no idea how your triple extra super broad firehose will work on this paper. ;)

Very nice paper!

Reminds me a lot of Cosmo Air Light, shows of ink properties wonderfully and the line runs a little wider than on other paper. Cosmo Air Light annoyed me because of how bad it was with hand oils, hand oils do and some effect with this paper but nowhere as much as Cosmo Air light.

Nice paper. I love the texture of it and it is perfect with my favorite pens. A5 is a good size for letter-writing.
