This book challenges us to think about how education systems' emphasis on a narrow range of standardised test data disenfranchises and devalues many students. It argues for the emphasis to change to "street data" - qualitative data that includes listening and understanding the voices of students. It's a thought-provoking read which includes many practical ideas that teachers and leaders could implement to change to a pedagogy that empowers the voice and agency of students, teachers and parents.
