This is my best/favorite read of 2024

This book changed my brain chemistry, I swear. I don't even know where to begin honestly. It was my first "romantasy" book and it absolutely slapped.

The world building and the magic system with the quicksilver awakening and alchemists and fae with a little vampire added as well. Literary perfection, truly.

Shadow daddy Fisher is top tier book boyfriend now, no questions asked. The mating bond he and Saeris end up accepting and the God binding as well was so intricate and how these bonds appeared after acceptance, such an incredible read. The battle scenes slapped and the way everything was written provided full vision of what I was reading, and I couldn't put it down.

I mostly read it on my kindle but I did listen to parts on audiobook and let me tell you - it was hot. The spice in general was SPICING and the canines drawing blood to create euphoria, I could not. I'm now going to continue thinking about Fisher and Saeris every day until the next book comes out and I will be reading it immediately.

"For those who live their nightmares so that others may have their dreams."

"Because she is moonlight. The mist that shrouds the mountains. The bite of electricity in the air before a storm. The smoke that rolls across a battlefield before the killing starts. You have no idea what she is. What she could be. You should call her Majesty."

Have you ever finished a book and immediately wanted to start it all over again? For me, Quicksilver was that kind of book. From the very first page, I was completely immersed in the story, and for once, I didn’t find myself overanalyzing every detail—something that made the experience all the more enjoyable. Callie’s writing style has a magic to it, and the character of Kingfisher himself is unforgettable. The witty banter and bold confidence he exudes are absolutely legendary, and I think it’s safe to say that Kingfisher has earned a spot as one of my new favorite shadowdaddies. This book was a joy to read, and I can't wait to dive back in for a reread… and another…. a-aand another.
A Fantastic Read

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Callie vividly immersed us into this world of fae and magic while introducing us to some of the most likeable characters! If you're wanting a self-loathing damsel in distress pity party kind of FMC, then this books isn't for you! If you want the same old predictable guy with a rough past MMC, this books also is not for you! I loved the plot development and twists. All around, great book and I can't wait for more!

a million stars. Idc what anyone says, I take no criticism on this. I'm absolutely feral for this series now 😍😭

my brain is reelinggg. I devoured this, all 600+ pages of it read in less than 48 hours. Took me that long because being an adult sucks and "jobs" are required. 🙄 But yeah. I loved everything about it. The world, the magic, the characters, all of it was beautifully brilliant, and I'm in AGONY that I have to wait until NOVEMBER OF 2025.
