In October 2020, while Boris Johnson was Prime Minister and heading up the UK's response to the pandemic, he was provided with a paper warning of the dangers of Long Covid and the impact it was having and continues to have on the population. Boris would scrawl "Bollocks" across that paper and likened it to "Gulf War Syndrome stuff". This would set the tone for how Long Covid patients were dismissed and ignored in the intervening years. As a person living with Long Covid whose life has been upended as a result (which I partly attribute to his woefully inadequate response to the Covid-19 pandemic by the way), I think it's only right that I return the favour.
