This is such an innovative idea that definitely succeeds in bringing education to life. The basic idea is that you use it with an AR-enabled app, so when you scan your device over the globe you can explore the places virtually. There are definitely a few things I’d improve… The good: - It comes with some extras I wasn’t expecting, including a little passport, stamp and a book of stickers. So fun! You can fill in the passport with where you’ve visited on the app, and what you like about it. - My daughter, who is 7, was interested and really engaged with the app. She excitedly told me some facts she’d learned, and she was pleased with her progress in the quizzes. - there’s LOADS to do in the app itself and you can explore animals, cuisine, landmarks, culture all around the world. - the app is super easy to use and you can personalise it to your child’s age The bad: - the globe itself is very light and seems quite flimsy. The countries/cities aren’t labelled at all, there’s just pictures, which although I know it’s aimed at kids makes it look a bit juvenile. Labels on a map feels like a bare minimum - I guess this is because you see them on the app and so that the product can be sold in many different countries/in many different languages, but still, it makes it look a bit cheap. - the app is very US-centric. You have to set what grade your child is in, and we don’t have grades here in the UK. - my daughter says it’s hard to get the AR to pick up the stars on the globe sometimes, which frustrated her. There were also times where it would show something on the screen and then when she went to tap it it’d just glitch and disappear. - the app features in-app purchases! There *is* a lot you can do without having to pay, but considering how much this retails for I thought this was rather cheeky. All in all, if your child is inquisitive and curious (as mine is!) then they will probably love this, but it’s not as polished a product as I’d like it to be for the cost.

This globe is high quality, large and top notch. I would highly recommend this product to all parents, carers or anyone interested in geography as this globe is great! It allows you to learn while having so much fun along the way!

My son loved the orbit earth globe. He has autism and loves spinning. I connected it to his tablet, added the app from App Store which was super easy. There’s loads great things on the app to do too, great for learning about animals etc of the world. It’s very sturdy great for spinning lol. The packaging is lovely comes in a big colourful box and you get a stamp, passport and stickers to use in the passport. I definitely recommend this, makes learning fun.

I purchased this product for my 6 year old daughter and she absolutely loved it. It is very interactive and keeps her engaged. It has a lot of content and she has been playing with the globe for the past couple of weeks. She's been learning about animals, monuments and even inventions from across the world! The amount of information is incredible and fascinating. It also comes with a passport and stamp which she loves to use. We loved Orboot Earth and we're happy that our daughter loves it too! I will definitely gift it to my niece this Easter.
