We are happy with the bed overall and have been letting it air out before assembly for a few days. There is A LOT of assembly ahead. My big issue is that the bed, originally at a 1400 price point, is upholstered in a clothing grade of velvet fabric, not upholstery grade. That’s very disappointing. I can also tell the under layers (foam, batting, etc.) are not of upholstery grade materials either. I’m an interior designer and will reupholster with a better fabric at a later date myself, however, for the price, it’s not unreasonable to expect high quality fabrics and industry grade upholstery materials to be used from the get go.

While assembly it pretty straightforward, for the price, doing a full size headboard and full side rails was expected. Splitting them into pieces not only makes extra work, it cheapens the look. These negatives aside, the slats and wood and metal frame parts are extremely well made and will very clearly provide great support for the mattress.

I’ll give four stars because we got a great deal and I know I can minimize the shortcomings in the short term and fix it completely with a full reupholster in the long term.

Putting this together was a very unpleasant experience! It took hours to put together!!! I had to keep pulling apart and lining up the screws to the holes. One side would match and the other side would be off. There was no specifications on which way to place certain parts. The holes to line up the wing were completely off. The wings are too tall for the bed. I would have to put something under to raise it so it can match up with the wing. I called customer service and was told I have to wait to hear back from the manufacturer in 1-2 business days. I was extremely livid with that response considering we spent hours to put it together, 2 screws were stuck together(tried all ways to pull them apart- unsuccessful,) holes arent in alignment and now I cant sleep on it! The directions on here are different from the directions in the box.

So now I have to pull everything apart and put my mattress on the floor for the next 1-2 business days!

They reached out to me to provide info, only to then take another 24-48 hours to respond.

This bed is beautiful! The bed came in one big box which I appreciate and arrived after only a couple days. I purchased cream in the queen size and it looks even better in person. The headboard is tall which I love and the color is just the right cream. The material is like a velvet material and the bed is sturdy and made with excellent quality for the price. It also doesn’t squeak or move. The only con I have is the assembly took a few hours and for the height and weight of the headboard you definitely need 2 people to assemble this bed! I recommend choosing professional assembly or having help to assemble. I also recommend using a drill instead of the tool that is given. Overall I am very happy with my purchase! If I could give it 10 stars I would.

Sturdy and beautiful bed however it has a HORRENDOUS ODOR that I cannot live with. I smelled it immediately when unboxing and hope that it would dissipate but 10 days later it is still there. It is a vile pungent odor smelling like dead fish or something even more disgusting. It is permeating throughout my entire house. I called Wayfair to tell them and they said they havent heard of this complaint before yet if you look at the most recent comments from December 11th you can see others are clearly saying the same thing. They also told me to keep it in a ventilated area but I live in an apartment and the bed is already put together so I dont even know what they mean by that. They also told me that it was properly ventilated before leaving the factory. Ventilated from what Toxic chemicals They said they would allow an exchange for another one if the smell didnt dissipate in a week, however Im afraid that the new bed is going to be equally as gross smelling or worse. In the meantime Im waking up coughing and sneezing with allergies that I havent had an over a year and a half so.... Just saying, am I being poisoned
